Federal judge in Maryland temporarily blocks Trump's travel ban

Source: ABC 12 WISN/CNN

A federal judge in Maryland has temporarily blocked the 90-day ban on immigration for citizens of six countries in President Donald Trump's executive order. Although the ban was already restrained nationwide because of a ruling in Hawaii, the Maryland decision is another blow to Trump's executive order.

Wednesday afternoon, a federal judge in Hawaii blocked President Donald Trump's new ban hours before it was set to go into effect.

In a 43-page ruling, US District Court Judge Derrick Watson concluded in no uncertain terms that the new executive order failed to pass legal muster at this stage and the state had established "a strong likelihood of success" on their claims of religious discrimination.

Trump decried the ruling during a rally Wednesday night in Nashville, introducing his statement as "the bad, the sad news."

and he's still trying to implement a 90 day ban

What comes after the 90 days? Is it a prelude to something else?

Did the deplorables intend to weed out all the undesirables in 90 days?

With no adverse consequences from the ban being blocked so far, isn't
it beginning to be apparent the ban was unnecessary?

So it was more about asserting power and abuse than anything legal,
beneficial, and moral.

Our seaports are open too. Terrorists aren't going to get visas and go through years of vetting like an immigrant has to.

Obama advised him a couple months ago.

Mr Trump won't take advice from people he doesn't "like", he will do the opposite of what they advise.

Obama should have told him to build the wall, repeal the ACA, order the travel ban...
