Venezuela asks the UN to help boost supply of medicines

Source: BBC

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has asked for help from the United Nations to boost the country's supplies of medicines.

Mr Maduro said the UN had the expertise to normalise the supply and distribution of drugs in the country.

Venezuela's Medical Federation said recently that hospitals had less than 5% of the medicines they needed.

The president blames the problems on an economic war against his government and the sharp fall in oil prices.

They are pretty much powerless to help anyone unless the leader of a country invites them in.
It's up to the people of Venezuela to vote or fight Maduro out of power. That is, IF Maduro will even allow a vote. Remember how he pretty much dissolved parliament when those elections didn't go his way?
The people voted for Maduro's government. They screwed themselves. It's up to them to unscrew themselves.
