Yes, you read that right: President Donald Trump is considering former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) as his new FBI director.
According to a travel pool report, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters aboard Air Force One that Trump is slated to meet Wednesday afternoon with four candidates to replace fired FBI Director James Comey.
On Trumps agenda, according to Spicer, are meetings with Lieberman, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former Oklahoma governor Frank Keating and former top FBI official Richard McFeely.
The last time Liebermans name was floated on the stage of national politics came when Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) suggested that President Barack Obama appoint him as secretary of defense.

(14,173 posts)Lie-berman is such a Republican stooge. He singlehandedly denied a pubic option to millions of Americans. It couldn't be because his wife worked for Amerigroup Corp and AMN Health care services. Or that he was promised a nice lucritive job after he retired from the industry could it?
He obviously checks all the boxes for Trump. Most of which he has a solid history of being open to being bought. And the other is that he may then get enough Democrats, of the more southern blue dog variety, to endorse his choice. No doubt Trump could use any type of objection as proof of how Democrats don't want to cooperate even to the point of refusing "one of their own".

If you did Trump's bidding you'd be breaking the law and if you didn't do Trumps bidding Trump would fire and humiliate you.

(11,088 posts)Lieberman still has a thousand times more integrity and honor than the sacks of shit in the White House (despite all that he lacks) which in itself means it could easily backfire on this administration.
