Sen. Dick Durbin: Trump's Going to 'Hang Himself With 140 Characters at a Time'

Source: Mediaite

Yesterday, another huge bombshell was dropped when it announced that the Department of Justice had appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel to oversee the Russia probe. The White House released a short statement last night saying President Donald Trump looked forward to the “matter concluding quickly” and that a “thorough investigation” will show no collusion with Russia. However, Trump naturally took to Twitter this morning to label the investigation a “witch hunt” while complaining that no special counsel was assigned to look into President Obama or Hillary Clinton.

During an MSNBC appearance this afternoon, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) explained that this has become “standard operating procedure” with the Trump administration.

“The night before, they say something responsible and thoughtful,” he noted. “And then sometime in the middle of the night or early morning hours, the president tweets the exact opposite.”

Durbin added, “The President is his own worst enemy. He is going to basically hang himself with 140 characters at a time with a tweet.”

How are we going to survive Trump for years. OK I can go to Nov 2018 but not beyond that.

As in hung up like the thieves that flanked Jesus.

(Although the image of "The Hanged Man" from Tarot cards does come to mind!)

A President Trump is much less effective than a President Pence.

But since he did that tweet, it's clear he did not. Which gives me heart that this is for real. No matter what happens.

His writing “matter concluding quickly” is very inappropriate since he is the target.
How many crimes can he commit in a day? No one knows yet.

It's basically a long drawn out tirade against anything that stands in his way.

It's always been like that. The banks, city, laws, officials, judges won't let you
do what you want to do?

Trash them, hire a lawyer to connive them into it.

That's all I see in his life.

Where instead of "Rockin' Robin", the chorus would be "Barack Obama". A talented musician could have made something memorable out of it!
