Ex-CIA Director Brennan Rips Trump For Saying It Was an 'Honor' to Meet Putin: 'Dishonorable'

Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press, ex-CIA Director John Brennan tore into the president for seemingly taking the word of Putin over that of the American intelligence community when it comes to who was responsible for meddling in last year’s election.

“It certainly indicates that he doesn’t take the word of the intelligence community,” he told host Chuck Todd. “That’s what he’s been doing repeatedly in terms of his public comments.”

Brennan proceeded to bring up Trump’s remarks made in Poland last week when he appeared to throw the intelligence community under the bus while hedging on whether Russia was solely responsible for election interference. He further noted that he seriously doubts that Putin heard what he needed to hear from Trump regarding his “assault” on our democracy.

Brennan also brought up how Trump said prior to sitting down with Putin it was an honor to meet with him and questioned how the president could utter this publicly. “An honor to meet the individual who carried out the assault against our election? To me, it was a dishonorable thing to say,” he exclaimed.

Please media and leaders follow this example.
It was an assault, and it is ongoing.
We are under attack and Trump fawns all over the chief perpetrator.

with RUSSIA! In other words, we supposedly are too stupid to know who hacked us, and so let's let Russia have access to all our cyber shit. Meanwhile, they want to nationalize US voter info on a white house server. Maintained by someone, we're not sure who yet. But it will all be just fine, believe him. Have some more Kool-Aid.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

EVEN IF President Trump was kept in the dark during the primaries and election about Russia's involvement. EVEN IF there was no collusion, and no knowledge that Putin was trying to help him win.

The FACTS are, from the intelligence community, and admitted to by members in his own party, that Russia alone hacked the election, usurped our democracy. Basically an invasion cyber-style.

A truely competent President would, even if he was the benificery, demand a full investigation to get to the bottom of it. He would still stay on as President. But he should be looking contrite with the knowledge that he was elected with help from a foreign government for their own nefarious purposes. He should be humble about that but at the same time be forceful in demanding a stop to it. Impose harsher sanctions on Russia immediately, and vow that he will work to make sure to secure all elections going forward with a special team of computer security experts to 'build a wall' around computers involved in elections.

I don't know if that is even possible in today's world. He really should be stating that for now, he will make an executive order for all States to, at least for now, scrap their machine systems and initiate a paper ballots system for the upcoming 2018, and 2020 elections.

But SOMETHING to show you are working for America and not Russia. That you are President and that even IF you benifited, it still does not make it right. In fact it is a grevious attack on the nation, and as President you will work overtime to make sure it can never happen again. Chances are his popularity would jump. But he's so dumb, selfish, and narcissistic, that he knows that if he admits that he got in by nefarious means it is too much of a stab at his own ego. And his ego is so much more important than the countries democratic institutions.
