Key Republican vows to shut down government unless Congress funds Trumps border wall

Source: Think Progress

House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) is willing to let the government shut down unless Congress passes a budget that funds the construction of a border wall along the southern U.S. border, Breitbart News, a far-right publication closely allied with the White House, reported Monday.

During a phone interview with Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle on Monday, Meadows said that there are enough members in Congress to force a government shut down in the fall unless there is an explicit provision for the construction of President Donald Trump’s wall along the southern U.S. border with Mexico.

Kim Jung un should join the tea party. He'd be a lot better off than he is now. Of course, we sometimes frown on killing your relatives. But they're not white, so it might work out.

The only thing they want to do, is rule! Their supporters are nothing more then cowards and sheep, who want to be ruled over...that way if things go to shit, they can point the finger of blame at their masters and not take any responsibility for their own actions!!!

Historically anchored by one of the most liberal cities in NC--Asheville--the district was redrawn by Repubs in 2011 to favor Repubs and the incumbent Dem Representative Shuler retired.

Whenever Trump wants something that may be less than 50% favorable, he has a third party introduce the idea so he can take credit if it works or blame the third party if it doesn't.

This is the world they want so let them have it. With both barrels. You want this shit? You got it!

I fault Obama just a bit the last time this happened and the government into "essential services only" mode. The FAA had cut back on air traffic controllers and that significantly slowed down departures all across the country, causing a world of howling from business travelers!

Instead of taking advantage of a crisis and saying, "You don't like government and this is one of those things government does, so - you got what you wanted. How do you like your world now? Fund the government you hate or suck it up, buttercups!"

Don't like "soshilust" health care? Think the government should get out of that realm? You got it! Too bad, though, about those 23-hospitals in Oklahoma that depend on Medicare for their survival, but who the hell cares about a 50-mile drive to the next closest emergency room, amiright? Same to you Georgia and your 15+ hospitals. Being "rugged individualists", I'm sure you'll manage.

It all suddenly becomes so clear when it is your ox getting gored.

Obama didn't. To me an opportunity lost. All attention would have focused on the Repukes.

LOL! Go ahead, dickwad. Not only will your party pay for it politically, but no government would be better than the one you idiots are currently running.
