Organizers of the Women's March are back in the Washington region Friday to protest the National Rifle Association during a two-day event that involves a rally, a vigil and a 17-mile march from the NRA headquarters in Virginia to the Justice Department in Washington.

The demonstration Friday started with a 10 a.m. rally in front of NRA headquarters in Fairfax County. At noon, participants were to begin the 17-mile march to the Justice Department headquarters in the District, taking breaks along the way.

The demonstration comes as a response to a controversial, one-minute NRA recruitment video released last month that some interpreted as provoking fear and inciting violence. Conservative pundit Dana Loesch, who is an NRA spokeswoman, narrates the ad and criticizes recent protests, saying demonstrators “bully and terrorize the law-abiding until the only option left is for the police to do their jobs and stop the madness.”........................

...........Friday’s protest, organizers say, is intended to show the gun lobby that protesters will not be intimidated from exercising their First Amendment rights........................
