Trump lawyer: This will all be a fascinating movie one day

An attorney for President Trump on Friday dismissed allegations of lawbreaking by members of the administration as the plot of a fascinating movie one day.
But none of it violates the law, Jay Sekulow said on CNNs Anderson Cooper 360.
The White House has been engulfed in a wave of new revelations regarding Trump campaign officials secretly meeting with Russian officials. Earlier this week, the presidents son Donald Trump Jr. revealed a chain of emails that led to his meeting, during the campaign last year, a Russian attorney who claimed to have damaging information about Trumps Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
The meeting included at least one person with alleged ties to the Russian government. Trump son-in-law and now-adviser Jared Kushner as well as then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manaford also attended. Sekulow pressed the point that the president was not in the meeting and had not been aware of it until recently.

(9,426 posts)Trump U?? By the time this is over, there will be nothing left of the US to make a movie in. tRump is busy selling us off to Russia, or tempting N. Korea to nuke us. More people are being added to the list at that meeting. Soon it will be reported it had to be held in the grand ballroom at the Tower, to accomadate all the Russia mobsters. Poor little Donnie Jr., we are so mean, He look as though he is ready to cry, unless it is just that tRump weak chin?

Correction: Sekulow has a JD from Mercer University but has a PhD from Pat Robertson's Regent University, the latter which serves little more than toilet paper.
This correction in no way changes the undoubted fact that Sekulow is an ideological ignoramous.

(40,416 posts)That should tell everybody everything they need to know about this ideological ignoramus chuckle nuts. I characterize him as a mind untroubled by thought.
The only comfort I take in this situation is that Drumpf has apparently retained him as his lawyer. That ought to be worth a few chuckles. (If we survive it all, that is.)
On edit: correction. Sekulow got his JD from Mercer University. He got a PhD from Robertson's Regent University.

(1,570 posts)I have a feeling that an inspirational movie about a self made rich man (with huge hand) that worked his way up to being president while being hounded by the liberal elite (3s at best) and the fake news is going to me required monthly viewing in our near future.

(100 posts)Since Donald seems to have no sense of shame or irony, he'd be a shoo-in for the starring role, and, with his manic energy, would love to be the STAR in 'Trump; The Movie'.
Coming to think of it, the grifters and liars surrounding him would love to play themselves.
