A "disappointed" President Donald Trump said Tuesday he wants to "let Obamacare fail" after the latest Republican attempt to overhaul the U.S. health-care system quickly fizzled out.
"Let Obamacare fail; it'll be a lot easier," Trump told reporters on Tuesday. "And I think we're probably in that position where we'll just let Obamacare fail."
"We're not going to own it. I'm not going to own it. I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it. We'll let Obamacare fail, and then the Democrats are going to come to us and they're going to say, 'How do we fix it? How do we fix it?' Or, 'How do we come up with a new plan?'"

Trump has turned out to be mcconnell and ryan's wet dream.

(7,528 posts)He doesn't want to go to Dems and say "How do we fix it?" so his evil plan is to wait until they do so.
Senators are canceling town halls for the next three years as I type.

(7,432 posts)The ACA simply can't exist because it's associated with Obama. There's some extra animus thrown into the mix, and it has to do with skin color. Were the ACA associated with Bill Clinton's legacy, there wouldn't be the emotional charge to burn it and stomp on it.

(11,144 posts)Obama gave him some well deserved mocking and he had his wooddle feelings hurt. So to hell with all the little children in places like Riley that depend on Obamacare every single day and every single night for their survival. To hell with them. To hell with them all because a 71 year old spoiled brat is still seeking revenge for a few laughs at his expense.
The poorest excuse ever for a President of the United States of America.

(7,432 posts)And that caused premiums to increase. The ACA could have been more successful without Rubio's interference. But eventually, premium costs WILL get out of reach because the ACA doesn't control for costs. It would take longer with risk corridors in place.
Like it or not, single payer is on the horizon. Health care isn't really a commodity. It's a service.

(4,858 posts)...The ACA is the law of the land. He, and the GOP, may not like it...but it is the law. Doesn't the President--any President--have a legal responsibility to uphold all the laws, even the ones they don't like?

(22,651 posts)almost NONE on healthcare.gov. Because healthcare.gov helps the consumer choose a plan, helps them get medicare/Medicaid if their income isn't above poverty level. Helps work with insurance billing, helps find Doctors in the plan. Helps with IRS filing. helps with enrollment time.
Insurance Corps don't want to list on healthcare.gov & Republicans are letting them rip people off on TV 'plans' and crappy internet search 'plans'
Fuck you Republicans and hand a fuck-you to your patsy president.
