Johnson: Can We Move On From Trump Defending White Supremacists Already
Source: Talking Points Memo

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) signaled on Wednesday that hes tired of questions about President Donald Trumps controversial comments on the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
You tell me what he needs to say so we can move beyond this, he told reporters, according to the Cap Times. He said it once. Again, Im not going to speak for the President, I speak for myself.
Johnson continued to express frustration over foreign policy and budgetary issues he said were being ignored in the meantime.
We can continue to harp on President Trumps reaction to Charlottesville, but from my standpoint, Im concentrating on finding areas of agreement and doing everything I can under my committees jurisdiction and what I can do to improve the situation, he said. Johnson also said he doesnt see any reason for impeachment.

(15,222 posts)Perhaps you should figure out why. Elected leadership is supposed to represent their constituents. All of their constituents. Not just the convenient constituents.
Think about that, Rep. Johnson. Think about that for a minute.

You are either for him or you are against him. Ne middle ground. No weasling.
We have a Nazi sympathiser in the White House, a white supremacist.
It that is not reason enough to impeach him, then you should be tossed out of office and condemned to the garbage heap, a heap that is remembered just so that we never forget the stink!

(101,321 posts)lots of tax cuts? I mean, they're the friends of the president, so they must be great guys. And the foreign leaders he loves? They must be great too. I trust the president's judgement totally. After all, he's the president. I can't think of anything wrong with the way he thinks. If we all agree with this, that'll improve the situation. Bigly."
