Trump Likely to End DACA Immigrant Program
Source: NBCNews.com
President Donald Trump appears likely to pull the plug on DACA, the Obama-era program allowing young people who came to the U.S. illegally as children to remain here, several government officials said Friday.
Administration officials said the Department of Homeland Security sent a recommendation to the White House earlier this week on what to do, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions discussed the program with senior officials Thursday at the White House. Sessions has been a consistent opponent of the program, formally known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
As many as 1 million immigrants could be affected.
More than 800,000 are now covered by the policy and can legally apply for work permits. Immigrant rights groups said 200,000 young people have sought DACA status since Trump became president.

We really need immigration reform now.

These Dreamers are amazing people who can only be an asset to any community or country they are part of.
We should do everything we can to prevent this---as we did on the day we flooded airports when this vile man issued his immigrant ban.
This is so shameful. Many of these kids go back to great danger.
I hate this man. It's not just Dreamers he's hurting---he's destroying America.

Making some assumptions, which are certainly not completely accurate, but I will use them for the sake of argument: These 800,000 individuals attended public schools, and have now graduated and they attended schools were the average expenditure per student equals the average cost in North Carolina to educate a student through high school.
Based on these assumptions, when Drumpf kicks these people out of the country, he will THROW AWAY a combined public investment in their educations of $113,621,600,000.
These people will go to some other country and use the education US taxpayers have paid for to enrich the economies of other countries while paying taxes to, among other things, educate the next generation in those foreign countries.
