US Seeks To Cut Off Oil To North Korea, Blacklist Kim Jong-Un

Source: AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE

UNITED NATIONS (UNITED STATES) (AFP) -

The United States on Wednesday asked the UN Security Council to slap an oil embargo on North Korea and freeze the assets of leader Kim Jong-Un, in response to Pyongyang's sixth and most powerful nuclear test.

A US-drafted resolution obtained by AFP also called for banning textile exports and ending payments made to North Korean laborers sent abroad, further depriving the regime of revenue to pursue its military programs.

The United States circulated the proposed resolution to the 14 other council members two days after Ambassador Nikki Haley called for the "strongest possible measures" to be imposed on North Korea.

China, North Korea's main ally and trading partner, and Russia argue that sanctions alone will not resolve the North Korea crisis and are calling for talks with Pyongyang.

If North Korea collapses then they have to deal with a massive group of exiles going north. They don't want that.

..it's his money, not the US'. It's reminds me of when the US stole oil from Iraq. It's not right. The oil limitation will hurt him hard, that's enough of a message.

Back when North Korea first started developing nuclear weapons.

It's almost too late now.

Bush, and Obama.
Raise a stink about developing nukes. The world comes out against it. The president offers a deal it knows North Korea won't abide by, we give them aid of some kind. Then a couple of years later, repeat. They kept developing nukes, ICBMs, ect. Trump just isn't staying on the script that's been going on for the last 20 years.

Mao was being bled hard by the conflict both in terms of soldiers and money and wanted to end the conflict much earlier. Stalin insisted the war continue.

Once Stalin died it was just a few months later the hostilities ended. If Stalin had lived, then no matter what Eisenhower did, the war was going to go on.
