Trump says recent antifa violence justifies his condemnation of both sides in Charlottesville

Source: Washington Post

President Trump on Thursday condemned the violence by the anti-fascist protest movement known as “antifa,” saying their tactics around the country have proved him right for denouncing bad actors on both sides of the racially charged clashes with white supremacists in Charlottesville last month.

Trump said he explained his views on antifa to Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) during their private meeting at the White House a day earlier. Scott had expressed disgust with Trump’s handling of the Charlottesville aftermath.

We had a great talk yesterday,” Trump said, during an on-record discussion with reporters on Air Force One en route to Washington after a trip to view hurricane-relief efforts in Naples, Fla. “I think, especially in light of the advent of antifa, if you look at what’s going on there, you have some pretty bad dudes on the other side also, and essentially that’s what I said.”

The president added that “because of what’s happened since then with antifa, when you look at really what’s happened since Charlottesville, a lot of people are saying, and people have actually written, ‘Gee, Trump may have a point.’ I said there’s some very bad people on the other side also.”

Which dudes is he talking about specifically? The window breaking guys? Because those guys seem like something else to me, agent provocateurs, or perhaps just assholes. Nobody is wearing jerseys to identify themselves!!

By other than the police. The police are powerless agaist fascist militia groups, so they do nothing. Antifa spontaneously reacts and resists that shit. The government is shit scared about it.

How many people have been killed or even seriously injured by Antifa actions? NOBODY.

They were fighting Fascists who were responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people.. We should all be Antifa and come out big and strong to stamp down the white nationalists and Neo-Nazis. I watched the protests live on Friday night, the right-wing protesters were spouting Nazi slogans and giving the Heil Hitler raised arm salute. They were even dressed in brown shirts like the Nazi youth were in Germany long ago. It makes me sick to see this going on in the USA.

They committed a lot of violent acts. We should always keep that in mind. If Hitler wanted a peaceful march across Poland, we should have fully supported his right to do so.

Chanting "blood and soil" is hardly peaceful. They are advocating the overthrow of the federal government & genocide.

They are also responsible for the most terrorist attacks against the US and their citizens in the last 9 years.

the worst thing he said was there were good folks on both sides. And that's what got many people appalled.

This is the usual double -talking, twisting bullshit!
