Man killed at a Marseille train station after attacking passers-by with a knife

A man has been shot dead by the French army after he stabbed two people to death at Marseille’s main train station in southern France, French police have confirmed.

France’s interior minister, Gérard Collomb, said he was heading to Marseille immediately.

“Two victims have been stabbed to death,” regional police chief Olivier de Mazieres told AFP.
