Mulvaney criticizes San Juan's mayor

Source: Politico

A White House official added criticism on the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, a day after President Donald Trump’s condemnations on Twitter.

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney questioned San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz’s response to Hurricane Maria.

“My understanding is that as of yesterday, she had not even been to the FEMA operation center in her own city,” Mulvaney said, referring to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

“It is unfortunate that the San Juan mayor wants to sort of go against the grain. We’d love to have her on the team as we all pull in the same direction.”

The White House is doubling down on criticizing San Juan's mayor as lazy and out of touch.

When they aren't busy bashing victims they dramatically claim to be victims themselves. Sometimes at the same time.

Not much room between those two for adult behavior.

With all your great posts and tweets. I am sure you know what is really going on.

How do we keep our head above water with the daily insanity, fight those daily skirmishes - the tactics, if you will - and still fight the real strategic battle to save American and Western Democracy?

Remember this jerk?

“White House budget chief Mick Mulvaney on Thursday defended the Trump administration’s proposed deep cuts to social welfare programs such as Meals on Wheels and after-school services, saying it’s unfair to taxpayers if such programs don’t show hard results.

“Meals on Wheels sounds great,” Mulvaney said during the White House news briefing, adding that “we're not going to spend [money] on programs that cannot show that they actually deliver the promises that we’ve made to people.”

Mulvaney's a perfect compass. If he's criticizing you you know you are doing something right.
