House passes 20-week abortion ban

Source: The Hill

The House passed a bill Tuesday that would ban abortions after 20 weeks.

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), would make it a crime to perform or attempt an abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, with the possibility of a fine, up to five years in prison, or both.

The measure passed heavily along party lines, 237-189.

The bill allows exceptions in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the woman and wouldn't penalize women for seeking to get abortions after 20 weeks.

The legislation is likely to face a tough sell in the Senate. A similar bill passed the House in 2015 but was blocked by Senate Democrats.

of getting their foot in the door for complete repeal of Roe vs. Wade. This had better never pass in the Senate!

Old white men think they should dictate a woman's right to decide their own destiny. Fuck them.

The fact that white women also voted to pass this bill, white women who will always betray their gender...because Jebus told them to f**k over other women!!!

We need to include the women Republicans, when crap bills like this get passed, this kind of betrayal is expected of Republican men...what needs to be told is that the same betrayal will come from Republican women as well!!!

I doubt one of the women would sponsor this bill and bring it to a vote. They'll go along with it, because as a Republican woman that's their duty. You are correct though, they won't hesitate to betray their gender, because Jebus says they're the "lesser vessel", and must always cleave to their man.

Amazing, isn't it?

If abortion is "baby killing' then why do you "punish" the baby for the manner in which it was conceived?

They blew their Obamacare repeal, for which they had 6 YEARS to prepare. They're just proving their conservative bonafides. It has ZERO chance of passing in the Senate.
