Susan G. Komen, breast cancer foundation, shakes up leadership

Source: NBC

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure shook up its top leadership Wednesday announcing the resignation of its president and shifting role for its CEO and founder, Nancy Brinker. Two members of its board of directors also announced their resignations.

Komen President Liz Thompson announced plans to leave the organization in September. Meanwhile, Komen Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker will shift to a new management role as chair of the Komen Board Executive Committee when the search for a new senior executive is finished.

Not good enough. Brinker needs to step down completely.

2. I don't think any changes can save them, now. Too little, too late.

Too much light has been shed on that organization. I am actually repulsed when I see the pink ribbon paraphernalia now.

Unless those ribbons say "We support Planned Parenthood" on them, they're toast.

Also known as "pulling a Romney" since she'll still be the owner (presumably with all the perks).

But don't be surprised if she makes it retroactive back to February 2012.

8. Until that RW liar Brinker is gone, pink ribbons will be anathema to fundraising.

It may already be too late. She really disrespected her sister's memory, and hurt so many woman, particularly present and future breast cancer patients. Her continued lying ("this has nothing to do with Planned Parenthood&quot shows she has not changed nor is she contrite in any way. To hell with her.

The repukes at SGK are just that, people who make others feel like vomiting. They are societal predators. NBC is also the worst corporate group of MSMedia whores.

F both!

That 80% of komen money goes for salary and expenses and only 20% goes to their causes.

Not sure it's true.

Okay.... Brinker has to go, or Komen folds. No question about it. Brinkman continues to dishonor her own sister's memory.

Who's going to lose here? Women seeking help.

My opinion of this group has plummeted.
