Unsealed Docs Give New Details of CIAs Afghan 'Black Site' Torture Room
Source: The Daily Beast
New details have been unearthed on the CIAs black site torture room in a secret prison near Kabul, Afghanistan, thanks to newly unsealed papers the Pentagon and agency were forced to declassify over a lawsuit filed by victims of the enhanced interrogation. The prison was made up of 20 cells, where prisoners were often shackled to a ring in the wall. Four of the rooms were instead specifically designed for sleep deprivation and for prisoners to be chained to an overhead bar. The atmosphere was very good, the contracted psychologist John Jessenwho designed the techniques used on sitetold CIA investigators. Nasty, but safe. The closely watched lawsuit against CIA psychologists was unexpectedly settled out-of-court in July.

(47,583 posts)to say that maybe Bush wasn't "that bad", this is a reminder how horrible the Bush years were. Just because Trump is a truly awful president, that doesn't give Bush a pass. There apparently is no bottom when it comes to republican presidents.

(629 posts)because he started a war because his numbers were slipping and he knew war would boost his numbers up. He MURDERED hundreds of thousands of people because he wasn't as popular as he wanted to be. Now THAT is an ego.
Trump has a ways to go before he can claim the title of "worst president", but Bush had eight years and Trump only eight months. Bush is still on top for me, because of the number of deaths he caused. Of course, Trump could top that if he starts a war with North Korea.
