Pelosi: Dems may use spending bills to restore ObamaCare subsidies

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday urged Republicans to act immediately to restore ObamaCare insurance subsidies newly withheld by the Trump administration, saying Democrats may use emergency spending bills to secure the payments. She added that restoring the subsidies was a "matter of life and death."

Pelosi said the most favorable route for ensuring disbursement of the cost-sharing reductions would be stand-alone legislation.

“We’d like it to be in a free-standing bill next Tuesday,” she said during a hastily staged press briefing in the Capitol.

But with GOP leaders opposing the ObamaCare subsidies, Democrats are also eying other legislative vehicles, including must-pass legislation to extend government funding in December and any number of emergency spending bills that might arrive before then as Congress scrambles to respond to a series of devastating natural disasters.

because they got theirs and more, and don't believe the evil gubmint should have any role in helping people get healthcare. They are driving this car, off the cliff. Then they are coming for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. They really want everyone on their own, with the government completely out of it.

The problem is all the ignorant idiots out there who either think this is a good thing or don't have a clue that this is the pukes' agenda--there are lots of morans who think ryan et al. are acting to save these programs from "running out of money".

Add this to every spending bill until it passes. May even have to do some horse trading. We'll give you Xmillions for border protection, hiring more officers, getting prototypes and you give us DACA and subsidies. If it comes to a choice between the 2, millions will be killed and have their lives destroyed with medical care and there are 688,000 Dreamers. I'd go with the numbers and fix healthcare if only one can be accomplished, I'm sad to say.

Truly, though, I doubt anything would work. Drumpf wants to destroy everything Obama did and will not bend in that pursuit. ACA is being destroyed with nothing good to take it's place, all bad. Our only hope is to take back the Senate and get a lot more House seats but how can that happen with Drumpf helping Russia to steal the elections?
