Bush ethics chief: Trump has 'no understanding of human emotions'

Source: The Hill

“I think we’ve seen over and over again that President Trump has no empathy for those who serve abroad in our wars, who have been captured like John McCain, or those who have been killed or the families of those who have been killed, in the case of Gen. Kelly,” Painter said.

“He has no empathy, no understanding of human emotions that people go through because he stayed home during Vietnam with his sore foot or whatever it was.”

Painter said that while Trump’s actions were “atrocious,” Kelly has to stay in the White House to protect the country from “dangerous people” like Breitbart News head Stephen Bannon.

“He owes it to our country because there are very dangerous people out there, Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, a number of others that are pushing to get Gen. Kelly out so we can get the extremists back in the saddle in the White House,” Painter said.

4. I'd be curious to know his opinion on Bush's illegal war or outing CIA agents.

Or the phoney baloney "terror alerts"

Or the illegal propaganda operation paying off radio hosts to push NCLB.

I appreciate what the guy is saying now. But I can't look at the guy and wonder what he actually DID in GWB's "ethics department"

He worked for the Bush admin only from 2005-07 so he might not have been involved in some of those issues. The NCLB payoffs, the terror alert system, Yoo's torture memos and the Valerie Plame incident all happened before Painter came to the WH.

5. Sociopath

It is obvious to everyone that Trump is a sociopath. It is not a recent phenomenon, he has treated everyone as tools for his enrichment or carnal needs. He has stolen from those who worked with him, preyed on women (or female children) in his pageants. Grabbed the pussy of any woman unlucky enough to be in his predatory range. He has lied about himself and his dealings throughout his life.

All on DU know this about him. All with any semblance of sanity know it. He has been an excellent con man.

Truly, his one trait I am grateful for is his blatant stupidity. Entitled, good lawyers, and a sociopath. Our President. And Vlad's servant.

The article you linked to does sound like a biography of Trump. Thanks for the link. We all should be (and are) very frightened by this "????" in the Whitehouse. I am truly out of words to describe him. A technical definition of his insanity is what I can manage tonight.

than himself in his whole life, and he had to say no, but he seemed to like what he was saying so much that he didn't care.

I see this idiot and his pronouncements or others from that criminal administration all the time on here. He who promoted a war based on a big lie and which I will be paying for until the day I die, please slink off into your gated mansion and fuck off.

Peace

which was well after the Iraq war started, and in any event his job would have had nothing to do with foreign policy. He doesn't live in a gated mansion - he's just an ordinary law professor whose wife teaches music at the same university. Pay attention to what he says; he knows what he's talking about.

I do recall very well his gushing over W's fake aircraft carrier landing and some of the other crap he said. Tweety loves a show and he tends to fawn over anybody who gives him one.
