Mulvaney: 'No chance' Dems will support tax plan that lowers corporate tax rate

Source: The Hill

BY REBECCA SAVRANSKY - 10/22/17 09:43 AM EDT

White House budget chief Mick Mulvaney said there is "no chance" Democrats will support a tax reform plan that lowers the corporate tax rate.

"I've asked a couple Democrats if they'd ever vote to lower the corporate tax rate and they told me no," Mulvaney said on "Fox News Sunday."

"Which is really just bizarre...since they supported themselves bills in the past-- in fact some Democrats supported bills...that actually lowered the corporate tax rate," he continued. "It's almost as if, since it's President Trump's administration and it's a Republican plan, now they're against it," he said.

Mulvaney also said people need to learn the "entire impact" of Trump's tax plan in order to decide whether to support it.

Why in the hell would they support a tax reform bill that exclude Dems in the decision process?

the vast majority will be heading for Washington with pitchforks and torches (non-Tiki only). It's to the Republicans' benefit that very few actually understand the ramifications of this give-away to the wealthiest 1% of Americans. Who the hell is he trying to kid? The Trump administration is counting on the vast majority of Americans remaining blissfully ignorant about the details.

Gee, in a very generous offer Trump refused to take a salary as President. Now we find out why. He'll get exponentially more money by getting this insipid tax law passed, and I mean a LOT MORE!

He's already made around $5 million selling hotel rooms, golf cart rentals, leases on Trump Tower property, and restaurant meals to the Secret Service. The salary of a president of the United States who serves two full terms is only $3.2 million. The "magnanimousness" of Trump's gesture aside, the bastard is making out like a bandit.

How could anyone ever imagine that a legislator would refuse to support something that they previously sponsored? Certainly no Repukelican would ever do such a thing! Sad!

(Just in case anyone doesn't know what I'm referring to, it's about Puke Lizards and the dozens of Pukelican ideas that were included in ACA, only to be called "death panels" and other bullshit lies.)

... the end of the Alternative Minimum Tax?

Those are very helpful to higher-income people and the very rich.

But R's don't mention those. Just "lower tax". I can almost guarantee the lower taxes will somehow become an increase for the middle classes.
