President Donald Trump tweeted Friday evening that he was putting a hold on a controversial decision to lift a ban on big game hunting trophies.

"Put big game trophy decision on hold until such time as I review all conservation facts. Under study for years. Will update soon with Secretary Zinke. Thank you!" Trump tweeted just before 8 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, the Trump administration said it would lift the ban which had been in place since 2014. The decision would have allowed the import of ivory tusks "if the agency finds that the hunts in which the animals were killed contribute to the survival of the species," according to the New York Times.

President Trump tweeted Friday night that he is putting decision to reverse Obama-era legislation to ban the import of big-game hunted trophies from Zimbabwe.

In Mr. Trump's tweet, he said he is putting the decision on hold so he can "review all conservation facts" with Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.

Mr. Trump's tweet came one day after the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said that it will begin issuing permits that were once banned. The permits were set to start to be issued on Friday.

Goddammit Trump! Where the hell am I gonna shoot my fucking Elephant Gun? How will I impress my wife Mother for our anniversary if I can't give her fresh dead animal parts? What will I put on my walls for when the in-laws visit?

Dumb ideas never die in the Trump Administration. They come back under the cover of some distraction.

The Trumpians have absolutely no concerns that overturning the trophy ban is bad policy. They're only sorry they got caught.

Especially combined with the goodness of all people to recognize something as evil as that decision.
