Police: 4 shot at Cedar Park Wal-Mart; suspect in custody

Source: The Statesman

Multiple people have been hospitalized this morning after a shooting in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Cedar Park, police said.

An unidentified suspect is in custody following what police described as an altercation that occured about 4:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the store off U.S. 183 and FM 1431.

“The store is shut down, but that’s Wal-Mart’s doing, until our investigation in the parking lot is done,” said Cedar Park Police Capt. Mike Harmon.

Harmon said police were unsure how many victims were hospitalized or how the altercation began. No store employees were injured or involved, Harmon said.

Clearly Texas doesn't have enough guns. They need to loosen those restrictive laws.

If those 4 people had guns, they could have each shot 4 people! Who in turn could each shoot 4 people, and so on, and so on, and so on.

It will never end.

"In a news release, Harmon said police believe “that a group of people met in the parking (lot) of the (Wal-Mart) for an altercation."

Betcha $20 this is gang related.

Explain to me please, how taking guns away from, or restricting in any way, lawful gun owners will alleviate the gang problem.

In case you haven't noticed, our society has apparently decided that we will just continue to tolerate these things to mollify the gun fetishists.

Sorry, I have friends in Iran, and if it weren't for the Ayatollahs running the place, Iran would be a close U.S. ally. I feel the need to stick up for the people...

I'm sure Libyans have their own American advocates, and I'll let them do their own talking...

I have noticed with the last few multiple shooting the guns used have not been identified. They weren't identified at this site and I have not seen what guns were used at the church in WI.

Is this an attempt to protect the reputations of assault weapons?

As to your question, I really doubt it. I just don't see any possibility that there's a media-wide effort to control language, with the aim of benefiting gun-rights (i.e. anti-AWB) advocacy...
