Kasich praises young people fighting for gun reform

Source: The Hill

BY MALLORY SHELBOURNE - 03/04/18 02:45 PM EST

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) on Sunday praised the young people advocating for gun reform measures.

"What I hope is going to happen is, we will make some steps. And young people, the millennials, the Gen Xers are saying, look, we have heard enough. Deliver something. Deliver something. We don't want all these excuses. Deliver something," Kasich told CNN's "State of the Union."

Kasich during the interview commended the young activists for not wanting to hear about why pushing gun reform is politically tough. "And I -- frankly, they put it to me every once in a while. And I try to explain to them the politics of why it's so difficult. They don't want to hear it. And you know what? Good for them. Bully for them. I love them," Kasich said. "I love the way that they're saying, let's do the art of the impossible, rather than the art of the possible."

The governor's remarks come as the high school survivors of the Parkland, Fla. shooting emerge as outspoken push for stricter gun laws.

Kasich on 2020: ‘All options are on the table’

BY MALLORY SHELBOURNE - 03/04/18 02:27 PM EST

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) said "all options" remain on the table for his future after he leaves office next January.

"I don't know what I'm going to do," Kasich told CNN's "State of the Union" when asked about his political ambitions.

"But all options are on the table, both for me in my private, my professional life. But I want to keep a voice, because I think it's important, whether it's trade, immigration." Kasich previously ran against President Trump in the 2016 Republican primary and has been an outspoken critic of the president.

Politico reported last month that Kasich, 65, was considering options for a 2020 bid. The governor is term-limited and will leave office in January 2019.

I've read stories about the policies he has favored in Ohio, and the students would not be happy. He always likes to come off as reasonable and moderate, but he's not.

Peace

Take it from someone who has had to put up with this sanctimonious clown for the past 7 years. We can't be rid of him here soon enough.

Talk is easy...Just look at his past deeds...you will know this man is a con artist...

I will never forget when, here in Ohio... within a week of being elected governor...All the Obama highway signs about rebuilding America where removed by him.

13. To call it a very costly Democratic loss in 2010 would be an understatment.

His retrograde politics, bad as they are, aren't even the very worst part of it. His ego is in many ways as insufferable as Trump's and it has only grown to the size of Jupiter since the Dems here put up a pitifully weak candidate against him in 2014.

Kasich thinks he's damn near unstoppable. He needs to be beaten as badly as Trump in 2020 to knock him back down to Earth... head first.

He is already insufferable enough here in Ohio as Governor, and he wants so badly to crown himself King of the USA, it's not even funny. Let's not even go there. Even in Trump's place, he would still be unacceptable.

He was my representative. I voted against him with pleasure. He's been governor, I voted against him two more times. He looks normal, he's not. He is & has been bad news.

A box of cream of wheat would be a better president then trump. Kasich is a bad, poor solution.

because the corporate media is DESPERATE for a "reasonable" puke.

He gets the title by default.

The owners of media can't stomach the thought that the entire modern-day puke party is now a shithole.
