CNN is reporting that President Donald Trump is furious at his own press secretary for her handling of the Stormy Daniels scandal.
According to the networks sources, Trump is upset at Sanders after she brought up the fact that Trumps attorneys had won arbitration that granted a temporary restraining order against Daniels to prevent her from publicly discussing their past affair.
CNN says that Trump believes this admission on Sanders part didnt kill the story and instead only gave it steroids so it would dominate further news cycles.

NBC News reported on Wednesday that Trump attorney Michael Cohen had been granted a secret restraining order against Daniels, who is now claiming that the nondisclosure agreement she signed in 2016 is invalid because Trump himself never signed it. But Daniels attorney, Michael Avenatti, said on Wednesday that his client would not be coerced by Cohen into backing off her pledge to tell her story.

UPDATE:
Trump upset with Sanders over Stormy Daniels response
By Jim Acosta and Veronica Stracqualursi, CNN
Updated 9:37 AM ET, Thu March 8, 2018
Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump is upset with White House press secretary Sarah Sanders over her responses Wednesday regarding his alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels, a source close to the White House tells CNN.
Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, filed suit against Trump this week alleging he hadn't signed a nondisclosure agreement that would have prevented her from discussing their alleged sexual affair.
On Wednesday, Sanders told reporters that the arbitration was won "in the President's favor." The statement is an admission that the nondisclosure agreement exists, and that it directly involves the President. It is the first time the White House has admitted the President was involved in any way with Daniels.
"POTUS is very unhappy," the source said. "Sarah gave the Stormy Daniels storyline steroids yesterday."
This week's developments are the latest installment in a continuing controversy for the White House involving Daniels, and a distraction from Trump's attempted rollout of tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

(13,284 posts)They've already used "angry," "annoyed," "mad," and now "furious." They still have "livid," "unhinged," and "foaming at the mouth."

(13,568 posts)In a way I feel somewhat sorry for these staffers (although they brought it on themselves by agreeing to work for 45*) because they can't possibly keep up with which lie they're supposed to tell for every possible story out there. 45* will NEVER accept any responsibility for his own screw-ups, it's always the messenger's fault.

(13,284 posts)The essence is don't expect someone to change the way they are just because they say they've changed.
Before he became president Trump was an arrogant, shallow, sociopathic, self-absorbed narcissist with absolutely no impulse control and a propensity to hold grudges, be vindictive and lie whenever he talked.

"Oh no," the woman said, "you've bitten me and now I shall die!"
"Shut up, you stupid woman, you knew I was a snake before you took me in."
His staff knew or should have know what they were getting into before they clocked in at the WH the first day.

(40,191 posts)I'm thinking Cheeto deliberately failed to sign the NDA agreement because he didn't want his name on it.
He wanted his lawyer to be stuck for the payout, and then it's all on him.
Great strategy, screw the only lawyer that still has your back!

(4,066 posts)If he doesn't fire her now it will only be because his aids tell him no one wants the job if she's gone.
I think Stephen Miller is probably the only person who comes to mind that would want to subject themselves to that job on a day-to-day basis.
At this point, even the most devoted followers of 45 have to be questioning the man and if it is a good idea, long-term, to be his front-person. They can't seriously all be that delusional can they?
