Trump administration officials said Sunday that the United States had made no concessions to the North Korean regime in exchange for what would be a historic meeting between President Trump and the reclusive nations leader, Kim Jong Un. But the White House also left open the possibility that the talks, which South Korean officials have said would happen by the end of May, could ultimately not occur particularly if the North Koreans conduct nuclear or missile tests in coming weeks.
Theres the possibility, White House principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah said on ABC Newss This Week of the prospects of the talks falling through. If it does, its the North Koreans fault. They have not lived up to the promises that they made.
The conditions that Trump has set, according to administration officials, is that Kim would halt any nuclear or missile testing until the talks occur and allow joint military exercises between the South Korea and the United States to proceed. The regime has also committed to saying complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization is on the table, CIA Director Mike Pompeo said Sunday.
These are real achievements. These are conditions that the North Korean regime has never submitted to in exchange for conversations, Pompeo said on Fox News Sunday. Never before have we had the North Korean in a position where their economy was at such risk and where their leadership was under such pressure that they would begin conversations on the terms that Kim Jong Un has conceded to.

(6,979 posts)IS putin controlling this "meeting" and pulling the strings? Probably. IS putin telling fatso-in-chief WHAT to do, and is he also controlling our foreign policy? YEP. IE: Tillerson instead of Robbedme as SOS.
Nothing is as it appears to be with ANY of this crapola, but one thing I feel for sure and it's that I don't see anything good coming from this, especially with imbecilic, treasonous, wanna be dictator-in-chief tRumputin going over to North Korea to talk to North Korea's murderous fatso-in-chief and with murderous but smarter maniacal putin pulling dumb ass fatso's compromised strings.

(4,450 posts)He's too stupid to see that he's being used by Kim. I would add to that the following: his bloated sense of his own intellectual and strategic acumen makes it likely that he will pass (intentionally or unintentionally) substantial amounts of classified information to Kim... which would, of course, mean it was going straight to the Russians.

(11,885 posts)Absolutely nothing. This is all PR and he probably won't go anyway, then offer up another excuse and blame him for it. If he goes he'll claim its the greatest thing the world has ever seen, all because of him. Its all an act either way it goes, and means nothing. More to distract with .

(14,947 posts)Trump will declare there is no need for them to be there any longer, that it is part of a deal to de-nuke nk, and everything will be monitored.
All bs, except we will have surrendered to nk and they will control sk.
