Nearly 70 percent say Trump is a bad role model for children: poll

Source: The Hill

BY JOSH DELK - 03/21/18 02:18 PM EDT

Nearly 70 percent of voters say that President Trump is a bad role model for children, according to a survey released Wednesday.

Respondents to the Quinnipiac University poll said by 67 percent to 29 percent that Trump is not a good role model for kids, a position held consistently across age groups ranging from 18 to 65 and up.

Over half of voters, 55 percent, say the president does not have a sense of decency, while 42 percent said he does. Fifty-nine percent of respondents said Trump does not share their values, and 53 percent said he doesn't care about the average American.

Only 30 percent are proud to have Trump as commander in chief; 50 percent are embarrassed.

It's amazing how many people believe that, judging from what I've heard from children over the years.

Hmm. Funny how that 42% represent the solid block who consistently remain among the loyal. Obviously, these people find him "decent", otherwise it would mean that they themselves must not be decent to condone such indecency. And doesn't that same 42% give or take also represent approximately the number of people who classify themselves as rethugs?

You’re acting like Twitler, you’re a jerk like Twitler and don’t be like twiler. The first time I heard it I thought it was a one off and now I hear it as a put down among one another. These are elementary age children.

I'm guessing
a) being born rich and not losing all of the money you inherited
b) being a loudmouth a-hole
c) screwing a lot of women even if it meant infidelity

What else could it possibly be?

Why does the first sentence say "nearly 70 percent" and the second sentence say "67 percent? Since they knew it was 67 percent, use it in the first sentence.

my question is what would he have to do to make the ones who think he has a sense of decency change their minds about him? After the terrible year he has had and tons of information leaking out about affairs with porn stars and other unsavory bits, how can they possibly think he has a decent bone in his body? I suppose maybe he really would have to shoot someone on 5th Avenue to even raise an eyebrow. And if he denied he did it, they’d HAVE to believe him, right?
