(3,709 posts)I know there are a lot of bad cops... but they aren't all that way.
They are the thin blue line between civilized society and anarchy.
Some just do their jobs the best they can.
RIP Corporal Cole....

(3,709 posts)I have friends and family members who have been police officers from uniform to detective. There are some very good ones.
So sorry to hear about these officers. My cousin is married to a former Sandusky detective. Great guy...

(4,079 posts)dirty cops, it pisses me off so much. Because all of the good ones, who risk their lives for the rest of us, get lumped in.
Rest in Peace Corporal Cole.

(41,757 posts)Driving to Bangor this AM, I noticed lots of cop cars headed in the opposite direction.
When I got to work, I pulled up the local newspaper on-line.
Pretty damned sad and shocking - this kind of thing is rare in Maine. The last one occurred 29 years ago.
On the way home, there was a MASSIVE police road block in Skowhegan - lots of cops with their game-faces on.
Everybody is spooked here....
