Trump defends payment to Stormy Daniels after Giuliani revelation

President on Thursday defended a $130,000 payment to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, saying that nondisclosure agreements are "common among celebrities and people of wealth" and that none of the money came from his campaign.

In a series of tweets, the president offered some of his most extensive comments to date on the payment by Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, which Daniels alleges was to buy her silence about an alleged affair with Trump years ago.

"Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. These agreements are very common among celebrities and people of wealth," Trump tweeted.

Trump isn't afraid of campaign finance violations with regard to Stormy.

It's the prenup.

Most prenups have a clause that makes them invalid for infidelity.

That means Melania gets HALF of EVERYTHING HE OWNS.

$130k is NOTHING compared to HALF of $3.1 bil.

whole Stormy Daniels debacle. He is a liar and apparently has no problem getting others to lie for him, too. Meanwhile the strategy seems to be say anything, float so many trial balloons, that no one can keep up and eventually loses interest.

But the man/child is doing and has done damage to our country. He has betrayed us and put our very way of governance at risk. The Stormy Daniels case is but a symptom of the tRump cancer that has invaded our highest elected office. He has degraded the office of President to the point that it is a joke. Respect the office, if not the man? Why should we? He has made such a mockery of the position that allows the President to lie repeatedly, avoid prosecution, delay or hinder justice and remove all doubt of what a disgusting piece of human trash he is.

I do not understand how we arrived at this stage in our country., but I do know this. Mueller must be allowed to finish his investigation on HIS timetable, not Guiliani’s or tRump’s. The Stormy Daniels’ case must go to completion without delay. The American people who still believe in tRump need to have the blinders ripped off if necessary. And all of us need to know the whole truth starting as soon as it is appropriate to inform us of the crimes done against us.

Let the games begin, as the saying goes. I dare tRump to take one more step to obstruct the justice that is coming to him. He may be assembling an army for himself, but there are more of us that are on to him and his lies. He will meet justice whether he likes it or not. This ought to be good, so pop some corn, gather around the tee vee and hang on tight.
