Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern who used to brief Ronald Reagan was thrown out of Gina Haspel’s confirmation hearing to become the second CIA director under U.S. president Donald Trump, replacing Mike Pompeo, Vice News reported.

It all started when Senator Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island), asked Haspel about the morality of “enhanced interrogation techniques” (TORTURE) and how she would react if one of her own CIA officers were tortured by terrorists. Would she consider a CIA officer being waterboarded by “terrorists” to be immoral?

“Sorry to interrupt here,” McGovern lambasted as he stood up in the audience. “Senator Wyden, you deserve a direct answer.” Although, Wyden wasn’t the Senator questioning Haspel at the time.

At that point, Sen. Richard Burr, who was appointed as the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, ordered Capitol Police to escort McGovern out of the hearing, while threatening that everyone would be removed if there were any more interruptions.

McGovern yelled and demanded that Haspel answer questions about the waterboarding of terror suspects at a CIA “black site” in Thailand.

5. Do not characterize McGovern this way

He doesn't deserve it. He was former CIA when he was one of the most active activists against the invasion and occupation of Iraq. He spoke tirelessly and got himself arrested more than once to get the truth out. He is a man of principle and a patriot. Do not wipe away his good works just because he did not support Hillary. A lot of people did not support her because of her vote for the AUMF.

He supported Jill Stein, and loves Julian Assange, and believes the Russians are "unfairly" being accussed of interfering in our election, and never misses an opportunity to blame the Jews for the problems of the world.

He is no man of principle. Even Noam Chomsky recognized the stupidity of those who refused to vote for the Democratic nominee, and related it to 30's when Hitiler came into power

By undermining, distorting, and encouraging people NOT to vote for the Democratic nominee, he said that the Supreme Court, women's rights, worker's rights, civil rights, healthcare, social security, medicare, Medicaid, environmental rights etc. don't really matter.

Of course he doesn't have to concern himself with those issues, just like the Susan Sarandon's, Steins, etc. They won't lose their healthcare, food on the table, or a roof over their head.
