Tropical Storm Isaac hugs Cuba coast, expected to be Cat 2 hurricane in Gulf

Tropical Storm Isaac was hugging the northern coastline of eastern Cuba on Saturday after claiming at least three lives in Haiti. Isaac should become a Category 1 hurricane on Sunday just as it nears the Florida Keys, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said, and then grow into an even stronger Category 2 storm with 100 mph winds.

Here's a projected path and strength map from Weather Underground, and it looks like Isaac could be up to Cat-2 just before landfall.

A lot of the delegations are hoteled out on the beach, and were to be bussed to and from the convention. There was concern about the high-profile busses on exposed bridges during windy weather. Or maybe its a ploy to throw the Paulbots off the scent... def one of the two.

12. I saw earlier they were saying Pensacola but Mobile idin't but 65 miles or so.

Stocked up on gas, food, water and other supplies. Been through about six of these over the years, not looking for another. Looks like it might be moving to west which may give me a break but I feel for Miss and La. Stay safe people
