Dem leaders condemn Trump after reversal on G-7 communique endorsement

Source: MSN/The Hill

Members of Democratic leadership tore into President Trump on Saturday for reversing his endorsement of the Group of Seven (G-7) joint communique and threatening to impose tariffs on Canada.

Trump attacked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a set of tweets sent after departing the summit ahead of schedule.

"Based on Justin's false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!" Trump tweeted.

Hours earlier, Trudeau had announced that all leaders of the G-7 had signed on to a joint statement at the summit's conclusion, as is customary.

Of course, Republicans have been silent on the embarrassment that is the Trump presidency. Making nice with Russia and North Korea even though they have not agreed to squat? Threatening and bullying allies. Trump is a gift to those who are anti-American.

Coward Donald made nice while he was there, saying how great things were going.

Then he left and talks tough away from real leaders.

for the brain-dead cult of Trump. They see him as some John Wayne kinda' guy, telling these filthy foreigners just what he thinks of them and their trade policies (as if he knows anything about their trade policies!). Only when these rubes start losing their jobs and consumer goods prices skyrocket will they finally understand how they've been conned. Maybe they won't even then. They can always use the tried and true, "blame it on Obummer and Killary" excuse, even though they had absolutely nothing to do with any of it.

In 1980, when Ronald Reagan was elected, Gil Scot Heron said;

"They were looking for John Wayne, but he wasn't available, so they settled for the B-movie star."

Trade wars never end well. Ever.

Even those miserable scumbags the Koch brothers are funding a multi-million dollar campaign against the tarrifs.

He folds like a cheap tent from even the mildest confrontation. If the G6 nations had said "see ya", Trump wouldn't have known what to do.

and demand all policy statements be issued via formal diplomatic communique. I would like to see them order all their government personnel to block him on Twitter.

They need to start putting some dents in his childish ego....... .........

Something he saw on a Fox News show? Was it a call from chief political adviser Sean Hannity? Maybe John Bolton got some alone time with him.

I imagine the president's plane was his first opportunity for a secure line to the Kremlin to see what Putin wanted him to do.
