Trump weighs in on McCaskill's plane-vs.-RV story, misstating facts in the process

The truth is that McCaskill spent much of the tour in an RV, but flew in her husband's propeller plane (not a jet) after events ended for the day to either St. Louis or Kansas City, or to one event in which the RV could not reach in time.
So Trump's blanket assertion that "RVs are not for her" is belied by the facts. But McCaskill did spend part of what was touted as an RV tour in an airplane.
The Post-Dispatch reported Sunday that Trump was likely to start mixing it up more in Senate races, like Missouri's pivotal 2018 contest in which Republican Attorney General Josh Hawley is the GOP front runner. Multi-candidate Republican and Democratic fields face an Aug. 6 primary.
Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway, in response to a question from the Post-Dispatch, said last week that Trump or surrogates would campaign frequently in states, like Missouri, where Democratic senators face re-election in states Trump won.

(24,324 posts)Does the St Louis Dispatch actually NOT know what a prop is?
Well of course, just for fun, there are props and then there are props...'
I mean there is the lowly Cessna 150.
All the way up to oh, A King Air Air 350-- WHICH, is technically a jet, as the engine is a turbine but it turns a prop.
Oh, well. I'm glad the caught it anyway,

(7,530 posts)People are used to jets going over Lambert, and historically McDonnell Douglas manufactured jets. I figure the local populace isn't as familiar with prop/propeller planes, and they chose the clearer word for the story.

(4,033 posts)It is incredibly forgiving, you have to really, really want to make it stall. It is the plane I learned to fly, did my solo in, and took my exam in. And it is the one I landed on a pitch dark runway at midnight when I suffered a complete electrical failure one dark (but not stormy) night.
