Trump Jr: Jeanine Pirro on Supreme Court 'would be pretty awesome'
Source: The Hill
The president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. said on Wednesday that the idea of Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro succeeding Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy would be "pretty awesome."
"This would be pretty awesome," Trump tweeted, referencing another tweet that says, "Introducing Supreme Court Justice Jeanine Pirro."
Trump's comment came shortly after Kennedy announced his retirement a move that will give President Trump the opportunity to nominate his second right-leaning Supreme Court justice since taking office.
Pirro is known for her cozy relationship with Trump.

(10,045 posts)If Trump and the GOP are intent on burning down the country and everything that it stands for, at least it will be entertaining for the rest of the world to watch.

(115,831 posts)She has enough skeletons in her closet to stock the anatomy classes of every medical school in the world. In 1999 her husband was indicted on a count of conspiracy, four counts of tax evasion (while the Pirros were filing joint returns), and 28 counts of filing a false tax return for hiding over $1 million in personal income as business expenses. At Albert's trial evidence was introduced showing that Jeanine had used Albert's corporate credit card to spend $4,450 on an oil portrait of their two children, and that she had used her official district attorney's letterhead to negotiate the purchase. The set for Jeanine's former local cable show was bought by one of Albert's companies and deducted as a business expense, as was the salary of a political consultant when she first considered running for district attorney. She wasn't charged with anything but Albert spent more than 2 years in prison. Later she was the subject of a federal investigation into whether she illegally taped her husband's conversations in order to catch him committing adultery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanine_Pirro

He'll probably be convinced to nominate a less public, more sinister, smart right winger. But knowing Trump's impulsive behaviour, I sure wouldn't put it past him, followed by a full promotional blitz on Fox News and RW radio and a full metal jacket attack on any Republican that would dare vote against her. In effect spitting in the face of your Dear Leader if you don't.

(28,082 posts)and she was as drunk at her confirmation hearing as she often appears to be on her show, those could be entertaining.
And if the Democrats take control of the Senate and she shows up drunk to work, pressure might be brought to send her to rehab for a long, long time or even get her off the court.
