INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman caught on video earlier this week attacking her neighbor with yard signs is now behind bars.

Three days after RTV6 first shared a neighbor's video of Vicki New tearing up yard signs, hitting them and threatening to kill them police showed up at New's home.

I have a large 2 acre front yard, kids were riding dirt bikes across it so I put out no trespassing signs. The kids mother at a school event told me it was rude and that I should have just talked with her first?

People can walk onto your property, and your driveway and walkway to the door is considered quasi-public property.

Even with a No Trespassing sign, people can still walk to your door or enter your property, but if they get injured, their ability to sue is greatly diminished. Even if someone walks onto your property, without you knowing it, they retain the right to sue your ass off if they get injured, if you do not have that signage. Our farm had one every 200 feet, as required, to protect against fence hoppers who would approach the animals. Some of the animals would kick their butt, if they walked into the wrong paddock. That criminal trespass charge was probably a result of having that sign posted, else she would probably have just received an assault charge.
