De Blasio and Parkland survivor David Hogg announce new 'Mayors For Our Lives' initiative

The March for Our Lives now has a voter registration offshoot Mayors for Our Lives.
Mayor de Blasio and Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg announced a bipartisan national effort to register young voters Thursday in an appearance on MSNBCs Morning Joe.
What were doing with Mayors for Our Lives is were announcing a campaign thats bipartisan, with Republicans and Democrats, to register a new generation of voters, Hogg said.
Hogg has become a vocal proponent for gun control in the wake of the horrific shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

"This summer, the students of March For Our Lives made stops across America to get young people educated, registered, and motivated to vote. We called it March For Our Lives: Road to Change.
When people across the country rallied at the March For Our Lives just over 2 months ago, we showed our politicians that we refuse to accept gun violence as an unsolvable issue. Now, were turning our energy into action."

*David is a great example for young people to become involved and not be apathetic.
