Hillary Clinton Calls For FBI Investigation Into Kavanaugh Allegation: It's a 'Fair Request'

On Friday night, Hillary Clinton appeared on The Late Show and weighed in on the ongoing confirmation battle of the Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Promoting the paperback edition of her book What Happened, the former Secretary of State began by criticizing Republicans for not allowing President Barack Obama‘s own SCOTUS nominee Judge Merrick Garland to go through the confirmation process, saying it sent “such a terrible message.” She also blasted the GOP of “holding back information” on Kavanaugh that has “always been made available” for other SCOTUS nominees because they’re trying to “rush this through.” She then pivoted to the allegation of sexual assault made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

“I’m hoping that at some point, there will be an agreement to have an investigation,” Clinton told Stephen Colbert. “It would be very easy for the FBI to go back and finish the background investigation, to investigate these charges and, you know, maybe find out there’ s nothing to them, maybe find out there is something to them, but at least have that investigation completed and I think that is what is a fair request for due process to be asked for.”

Colbert then asked if she could “sympathize” with Republicans who believe the FBI investigation would simply be used as a “political football” since she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, were the subjects of investigations as well.

“No, I have no sympathy,” Clinton responded, later revisiting their treatment of Judge Garland.

Even if Kavanaugh does not become a Supreme Court Justice his lies need to be investigated. How and who paid off his gambling debts?

3. Grassley Will Fold

Version 1: Grassley would fold if Professor Ford said she would immediately press charges for attempted rape on both Kavanaugh and Mr. Judge if her terms were not met. Statute of Limitations have not expired where the attempted rape occured.

Version 2: Wait until he is confirmed ( if he makes it ) and then press charges. When he goes down, you get two for one. The Judgeship and the Supreme Court are then both captured. The benefit is that when the Dems win the Senate they control the pick, effectively stealing the SCOTUS back by trading Merrick for Kavanaugh.

4. The Dems will investigate this

"When they hold the gavel again" Senator Whitehouse said two days ago. I hope she files charges in Maryland but I wonder if a sitting justice can be arrested? He could be impeached but we wouldn't have 2/3 of the Senate to make it happen.
