GRANTS, N.M. (AP) A New Mexico judge sentenced a paramilitary religious sect leader Wednesday to more than seven decades in prison after her conviction in a child sex abuse case that authorities say involved a victim who was taken from Uganda as a baby and mistreated throughout her life.
KRQE-TV reports that the 72-year sentence for Deborah Green in Grants followed emotional testimony from a victim, who told the judge she had 11 surgeries for broken bones suffered during years of abuse. She also said she has yet to recover emotionally and physically from what she described as torture by Green.
On Tuesday, a jury found Green, 71, guilty of kidnapping, criminal sexual penetration of a minor and child abuse.
Last year, authorities raided the Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps' secluded Fence Lake compound in western New Mexico after a two-year investigation into concerns about child abuse. Former sect members said the abuse dated back years, while Cibola County Undersheriff Michael Munk said the former members described leaders treating followers like slaves and physically beating children.

Wikipedia:
The Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps (abbreviated ACMTC; also known as the Holy Tribal Nation, the Free Love Ministries, or the Life Force Team) is a Christian fundamentalist, Biblicist, theocratic cult. The ministry, founded in 1981 by James and Deborah Green (sometimes collectively referred to as the Generals; James is often called General James and sometimes Jim; Deborah is referred to as General Deborah, formerly Lila), still retains its military structure, partially based on the original pattern of the Salvation Army.[1] Moving from its starting location in Sacramento, California, it has now settled east of the rural town of Fence Lake, in Cibola County, New Mexico, 60 miles (97 km) south of Gallup. They also have a branch in Colorado Springs, Colorado.[2][3][4]
The organization has been classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.[5]
In August 2017, Deborah Green and her son-in-law Peter Green were arrested on charges of sexual abuse of children. Peter Green, a manager at the ministry's Fence Lake location, has been charged with 100 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child, while Deborah Green faces charges of child abuse, negligent abuse and criminal sexual penetration. Deborah Green's son Joshua Green was also arrested and charged with failure to register the birth of his son.[6][7]
Four other members of the ministry in New Mexico, Amos River, Victoria River, Ruth River and Timothy River, were also arrested in August 2017 on felony charges of failure to register the births of their 11 children.[8]
As of August 2017, the ACMTC is under investigation by the Children, Youth and Families Department of New Mexico.[9]

The Southern Poverty Law Center has listed the sect as a hate group after it published anti-Muslim and anti-gay stories in pamphlets and on its website.
According to the Concise Guide to Todays Religions and Spirituality, by James Walker, ACMTC is an anti-ecclesiastical organization that claims that anyone who supports a centralized government or denomination is affiliated with the Antichrist. Salvation can only be found outside church and governmental systems.
Theologically this group should be considered a cult of Christianity.
The Apologetics Index is handy to bookmark as well: http://www.apologeticsindex.org/
(founded, I think, as a source of hypocrisy for Christians, but handy source of info on radical group regardless)
Never ceases to amaze on how many of these groups start out well intended, then slowly degenerate into greed, sexual perversion, crime, hate and militarism, as well as isolation.......
Thanks for all the good info, Judi Lynn.............
