Exclusive: Paul Ryan Quietly Requested Obamacare Cash

Source: The Nation

Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan is barnstorming the country, promising to repeal every provision of the Affordable Care Act if the Romney-Ryan ticket is elected. But a letter he wrote to the Obama administration may undermine this message.

On December 10, 2010, Ryan penned a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc to develop a new facility in Racine, Wisconsin, an area within Ryan's district. "The proposed new facility, the Belle City Neighborhood Health Center, will serve both the preventative and comprehensive primary health care needs of thousands of new patients of all ages who are currently without health care," Ryan wrote.

He's a proven liar (even about frickin' jogging), and he's running with Romney - whose demonstrated ability to change positions more than Traci Lords is legendary.

Paul "coupon" Ryan, talking out of his ass like it was a three-hour marathon.

Can't get past the widow's peak with that guy. Then I trip over the ears. Still looking for that handsome hunky thing. Sure isn't on THAT guy.

Besides, behind that physical sheath of skin and blue eyes (meh) and widow's peak, I see nothing but a cold, hard "heart" and a mean, selfish "spirit." Ugly is as ugly does. I don't care if he looks like Hugh Jackman on the outside. Lyin' ryan's ideas - and his flagrant, DELIBERATELY-CALCULATED and message-massaged deceit - make him ugly as sin, to this beholder.

14. Lyin Ryan is disingenuous about rights
Wed Sep 5, 2012, 03:29 PM
Sep 2012

In the interview video where Ryan made his statement about rights being from nature and God, he said it was what was stated in the Declaration of Independence. If he read the Declaration of Independence past the first paragraph, he would see that in the second paragraph it said, "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men..."

Actually, he didn't even get it correct about rights and nature and God. The Declaration of Independence states "...the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them..." meaning of course that regardless of station in life, money, or politics, we should all be treated equally as human beings.

Ryan is a putz.

32. I wonder how this might be tied in with his working with Wyden that happened about the same time...
Thu Sep 6, 2012, 02:56 PM
Sep 2012

Interesting that only six days after this letter was sent, Oregon senator Ron Wyden released a statement that he was going in for surgery for prostate cancer not long after he was reelected.

http://www.wyden.senate.gov/news/press-releases/senator-wyden-to-undergo-surgery-for-early-stage-prostate-cancer

And that same month Wyden and Ryan worked together to "reform medicare".

http://crosscut.com/2012/08/20/politics-government/110095/odd-bedfellows-sen-ron-wyden-and-paul-ryan/

I wonder if this newly released news is connected with those events. Some "creative" horse trading that perhaps we don't know the extent of yet?

Don't have a Nation account, or I'd have posted a comment on that article, but perhaps they should be looking in to this angle as to how these might be linked. Each of these stories kind of stands out as to how they all have more information that we should know about that is probably "behind the scenes".
