Obama Mocks Trump for 'Enough Indictments to Field a Football Team': I Didn't Have That Problem

As Tuesday’s midterm election looms, President Barack Obama took a jab at his successor on the campaign trail, mocking the number of indictments faced by President Donald Trump‘s former associates.

“They promised to take on corruption. Instead, they have racked up enough indictments to field a football team,” he told the crowd Friday in Miami during Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.

“I didn’t have anyone in my administration get indited. I just thought that was how you’re supposed to do things.”

While Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation has not yet wrapped up, it has already resulted in “more than 100 criminal counts against 32 people and three companies,” according to The New York Times, some of those individuals being directly linked to Trump.
