(7,142 posts)Trump's economy is artificially created. He borrowed money, racked up a trillion dollars in debt and gave it to the rich and corporations. He let corporations bring back offshore untaxed money for pennies on the dollar. When his tariffs hurt Midwest farmers he simply gave them billions of dollars in subsidies.
His gullible base who got $25.00 more per pay are going to find out come tax time that they aren't getting that big tax return they used to get.
I heard someone say that 8 people own 1/2 of the world's wealth.
No one wants to talk about the consequences of income inequality. Don't ever call Republicans conservatives, that is a whopper of a lie.

(9,350 posts)If people were to vote on policy and economy the GOP should lose. Even if some people want to give Donald Trump some credit for the current state of the economy it should be pointed out that Donald Trump inherited a booming economy. Trump has done very little to improve the state of the economy. Some would even say the economy is slowing. More jobs were created at the end of President Obama's term than were created in the beginning of Donald Trump's term. The stock market is currently having losses. Also, many middle class families seem to feel they did not benefit from the Trump tax cuts. Furthermore, anyone who supports Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would be better off voting for the Democratic Party in that Mitch McConnell has stated that he wants to cut social safety net programs. Also, did Trump's first budget call for cuts in Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
