White House Will 'Temporarily' Give Acosta His Press Pass Back

Source: Talking Points Memo

November 16, 2018 11:51 am

After a judge ordered in an initial ruling that the White House must restore CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press pass, the White House said it would “temporarily” do so but maintained that Acosta does not have a right to access the White House.

The White House also called for “decorum” during press conferences.

“Today, the court made clear that there is no absolute First Amendment right to access the White House. In response to the court, we will temporarily reinstate the reporter’s hard pass. We will also further develop rules and processes to ensure fair and orderly press conferences in the future,” press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. “There must be decorum at the White House.”

He basically said due process wasn't followed. That is correctable in true nazi efficiency.

CNN's suit is based on the first amendment, and that case is still in process.

8. Fair and orderly press conference rules:
Fri Nov 16, 2018, 01:09 PM
Nov 2018

1. To signal a desire to ask a question, the reporter must drop to one knee and hold our their arm beseechingly while looking down at the floor in recognition of whose attention they are trying to get.

2. If a reporter is called upon, their question must only contain words of two syllables or fewer, and the question must take 30 seconds of less to ask.

3. The Grand and Glorious Ruler of the Known Universe will then consider whether to answer the question. If he does decide that the question is one he chooses not to answer he may simply choose another reporter or, if the question is one that he deems irrelevant or insultant, he may declare it "OB" (for Out of Bounds), at which point the reporter asking the OB question must immediately move to the back of the room and will not be called upon again during the session.

4. Any reporter who asks what The 2GROTKN deems to be a "follow up question" (which would be an insult imply that 2GROTKS did not answer the the earlier question) will told FU (for Follow Up) and told they will not be called upon for the remainder of the Presser and at least the next two Presser.

(I'm sure others can figure out additional rules to promote fair and orderly rules and bring decorum to the White House.)
