'All lies!' Trump melts down over Comey testimony in Twitter freak out

Source: RawStory

TOM BOGGIONI
09 DEC 2018 AT 09:02 ET

President Donald Trump finally got around to attacking former FBI Director James Comey — again — this time after he testified before Congressional investigators on Friday in closed door session.

Taking to Twitter to start off his morning, Trump called the Comey a liar.

“On 245 occasions, former FBI Director James Comey told House investigators he didn’t know, didn’t recall, or couldn’t remember things when asked. Opened investigations on 4 Americans (not 2) – didn’t know who signed off and didn’t know Christopher Steele. All lies!” Trump tweeted.

You can see the tweets below.

Surely we should hold the president to a higher standard than has been exhibited countless times by the orange imposter.

And he may have intentional styling quirks, the grammatical errors are not intentional. I want a president who is literate in the only language he has used all his life.

That is not asking a lot.

Of course we should hold him to a higher standard. That's normal, I want a leader who can do a better job than I can. But his base wants one of their own in the White House. He makes grammar errors just like they do. He is crude just like they are. He is the same as they are, only with a bigger bank account. But it's an act.

Look at these tweets from 2012
https://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/trumps-notable-tweets-in-2012-085606

Proper grammar, correct capitalization, bigger words. He changed his style. The current style is not because he can't do better, it's because his base doesn't want to see better.

The same voice is there in the 2012 tweets but the errors aren't.

You really think someone who considers himself a stable genius would intentionally dumb down his tweets for years, thereby setting himself up for push back ridicule in the twitterverse?

I used to work with a narcissist. It was very strange. He didn't like work, so he was very smart about playing dumb. It was totally absurd, everyone could see it, and it didn't matter because it achieved his goal of avoiding work.

Trump's goal is to hold on to his base. He doesn't care how much ridicule he gets as long as his base sticks with him. And they will stick with him because he will make whatever changes he needs to keep them.

Sun Dec 9, 2018, 03:39 PM
Dec 2018

First, one of the BIG hallmarks about narcissists is their lack of impulse control. The SMART thing for him to do at this stage is to stop tweeting. It is no doubt the advice that his attorneys have given him, his staff has given him, I suspect even his family has given him. To me, Trump's tweeting, assuming that he IS doing it (and I think he is), is an addiction. I suspect that his base does not really follow him on Twitter, because a significant percentage of them are older and not even remotely tech savvy (or if they are, they're on Facebook or LinkedIn).

That means that what you're seeing at 3am is unfiltered Donald Trump. The behavior you see is a man alone with his electronic diary, jonesing for likes, without any real thought about the implications of what he is writing.

I also suspect strongly that he does sleep alone at night, probably for the first time since he was a child, and that he both desperately needs to get laid, and that the women he did sleep with generally also provided a modicum of stability - pillow talk - for an otherwise unstable personality. Without that influence, he lacks even an external filter (he has no internal one) for doing what are essentially stupid things.

...cost her the election. Comey broke protocol even in the announcement of Hillary's case. The Justice Department is not supposed to go into detail while dropping a case. They both failed to even acknowledge that there was an investigation into Trump's ties to Russia prior to election day.

Comey won Trump the election in 2016. If the FBI and Justice wanted Hillary to win, they had a real fucking strange way of doing it.

Who refuses to go before Mueller under oath. He's so scared to testify under oath because if he lies he will be committing perjury, and if he tells the truth it'll implicate himself in criminal acts. Its funny how he's always critical of others testimony, but refuses to testify under oath himself. Only GUILTY people do that.

This kinda twisting of reality, both from Trump and from Issa on Friday ... are EXACTLY why Comey went to court to demand that these hearings be conducted in public from the start, so the GOP couldn't make up bullshit about what happened.

Of course the TRUMP JUDGE said 'No', so Comey did what honest, good people do ... and showed up for this partisan shit-show of a 'hearing'.

And now EXACTLY what he said was going to happen ... IS.

Trump and the GOP have absolutely no shame, no couth, no tact, no class, and NO REGARD FOR FACTS, most importantly.
