she should have retired when Obama was president. The problem with that is with a republican controlled Congress they would probably refuse to hold hearings.

That was the time to do it. I hope her choice to stay proves a wise one. If we lose her, it's game over for two-plus decades.

And am loathe to have even an annoyance with her, but I keep having the same thought.

I understand that we can’t have all the really old Dems in power positions leave since the risk of Repubs taking them is too great, but sometimes it’s just time to go. DiFi and Robert Byrd are good examples. Clearly giving up power, whether it’s in Congress, SCOTUS, or elsewhere, is very hard.

In 2002 I had a 5 mm spot that grew to a 1.5 cm spot in almost a year and they took the entire lobe it was on. I haven't looked back since. I was only 50 then, and probably in the best shape of my life, but it was a rough 3 days after the operation. I hear it's a lot easier now with the robotics and the small incision now days though. Get well, my lady. We're depending upon you! Thoughts and prayers for sure.

I'm not shocked she had cancer again. And won't be shocked hearing of her next illness. The body starts breaking down in those late years, despite healthy living and first rate health care. It's inevitable.

I just hope we have a Democratic President come 2020.

My husband was diagnosed with metastatic sarcoma in '98. It was in both lungs 7-8 on X-rays but when they got in there there were more than 16. His prognosis was poor the say the least. He is still fighting it. His doctors are pleased but baffled why he is still here. Let's hope she does as well.

The body starts breaking down at that age. My father is her age and has always been robust and healthy and active. But he started having minor health issues in his 70s. He's trucking on, though, still very active and taking care of his half acre all by himself, and taking care of his very ill wife who is 14 years younger!

But 85 is still 85. That is past the life expectancy for someone born when they were.
