'Very possible' shutdown could last into new year, White House budget director Mick Mulvaney says

Source: The Washington Post

By Erica Werner December 23 at 9:37 AM

The partial government shutdown may last through the New Year and into the next Congress, White House budget director Mick Mulvaney said Sunday.

“It’s very possible that this shutdown will go beyond the 28th and into the new Congress,” Mulvaney said on Fox News Sunday.

The new Congress starts Jan. 3, at which time Democrats will take over control of the House.

Mulvaney said the White House had made Democrats an offer below the $5 billion President Trump had previously demanded for his wall and “the ball is in their court.”

And by the way, that is a beautiful tuna. Gorgeous fish. Coming out of high school, many moons ago, I seriously considered ichthyology. But alas, I went practical. Still, I've loved them since I was a small child.

This is all on Little Donnie and his cabal of republican enablers. Little Donnie is president for 35% of the people in our country. In his eyes everyone else can go to hell, because we don't fall down and worship the ground on which he walks.

And now they are on vacation. So I don't see any way that it will end before January 3.

How about it is on the House since they didn't vote on the Senate bill and just recessed.

In the meantime, the Dotard is out hunting bear with a switch while on executive time.

I hope it lasts until the Dems take office, and then people can see that republicans simply can never again be given the reigns of power. They can’t operate a government, even when they hold all three branches-

White House
House AND Senate
judiciary

And still they are totally disfunctiobal.

Give the Dems all three, and we’d get stuff done.

of the republicans for this year 2018 in power to build some fucking wall based on racism ...................they have caused in this year alone two plus government shutdowns of this country..............................prior to 1974, there were no government shuts downs........................it wasn't until:

"Is It wasn’t until a set of opinions issued by Attorney General Benjamin Civiletti in 1980 and ’81 that the government started treating “funding gaps”— periods when Congress has failed to allocate funds for the ongoing functions of government — as necessitating the full or partial shutdown of government agencies.

I'm trying to figure out why Obama is being blamed for it. As far as I know, both Republicans had control of the chambers, but like this year, didn't have the votes to override Obama's veto.
