Indonesia quake triggers tsunami alert (BBC) {near Aceh province, again}
Indonesia has issued a tsunami warning after a powerful earthquake struck off Aceh province.
The 7.3 magnitude quake struck 423km (262 miles) south-west of Banda Aceh, Sumatra, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
It had a depth of 29.1 km (18.1 miles), the USGS added.
A giant earthquake off Indonesia in December 2004 triggered a tsunami in the Indian Ocean that killed some 230,000 people, half of them in Aceh.

There is no tsunami threat and there are no casualties either - as I write.
ps sorry I didn't provide an actual link earlier - was using a tablet at the time and have yet to figure how to do that on it.

so it fell low down in the search.
Ah, well, searches aren't perfect. I see many of my own posts in Science and E/E duplicated.
