Former Carter pollster, Bannon ally Patrick Caddell dies at 68
Source: The Hill
A former pollster to President Jimmy Carter who helped the 39th president win over voters dissatisfied with government died Saturday at the age of 68.
Patrick Caddell, who worked with Carter and several other Democratic candidates before becoming a conservative media pundit in recent years and even an informal adviser to President Trump's 2016 campaign for the White House, died from complications caused by a stroke, his daughter told Yahoo! News.
Caddell worked with Carter during both his presidential run in 1976 and eventual White House administration, but the president would go on to lose the 1980 presidential election to Republican Ronald Reagan.
In more recent years, Caddell became a close friend of former Breitbart News chief and Trump campaign strategist Stephen Bannon, who met with Caddell during the height of the 2016 presidential election.

(21,151 posts)It was made worse by him being identified as a Democratic consultant during the interviews.
The humanity in me mourns his short life. I won't give it much thought from there.

(21,664 posts)Frankly, I've always suspected it was Caddell who passed Carter's debate notes to the Reagan/Bush team.
All the Best to his loved ones.
