McCabe Filing Civil Lawsuit Against Justice Department: I Was Fired Because of Trump Investigation

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said in an interview on the Today show that is “about to file” a civil lawsuit against the Department of Justice over his firing. NBC’s Savannah Guthrie pressed McCabe about his firing, noting that an inspector general’s report concluded he had showed a “lack of candor” about leaks to the Wall Street Journal.

McCabe defended his long career with the FBI, criticized the report, arguing that he was fired because he opened an investigation into President Donald Trump. “I believe very strongly I was fired because of the steps we’ve just discussed,” McCabe said. “I was fired because I opened a case against the president of the United States.”

“So I have big problems with that report,” he continued. “I disagree with the conclusions they drew, and that is something that I’ll be raising in a civil lawsuit that I’ll be bringing against the Department of Justice.”

Guthrie pressed that the “detailed” report found McCabe did not tell the truth on four separate occasions, a charge McCabe denied. He said he could not explain away each case, “because of the lawsuit that we’re about to file.”

4. In the "60 Minutes" interview,

he told about tRump asking him how his wife felt being a "loser"? Too bad he did not say "Well, you are the biggest loser in the US, how do YOU feel?" McCabe's wife is a pediatric emergency room physician. Intelligent, like nobody in the tRump family of grifters. This is a man fighting back at the humiliation of being fired, then insulted by the worst president the country has EVER had. tRump should ask his "kids" how it feels to be "losers"? None of them can get a job that does not have daddy as their boss. None have ever held down a REAL job, they are leeches on daddy's ass. McCabe worked hard to achieve his position in the FBI, then along comes tRump in all his blubbery stupidity and destroys the man's life. I can hardly wait to see the entire tRump family in handcuffs, marched off to prison and stripped of their ill gotten gains.

Bless him for standing up for the right thing but he needs to watch out for an 'accident'. I wouldn't put it past the cabal doing anything like that.

8. He's going to have to overcome the IG report to make his case.

Horowitz was appointed by Obama, and his report was pretty damning of McCabe. It appears they crossed all their I’s and dotted all the T’s in this case. Pretty much by accident I’m sure.

I would like to see Trumo go down, but I don’t think McCabe is going to do it with this lawsuit.
