Ocasio-Cortez on impeaching Trump: 'I defer to party leadership'

Source: The Hill

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Monday that she would defer to leadership on possible impeachment proceedings against President Trump, underscoring how she's not putting pressure on her party leaders to remove the president.

Ocasio-Cortez, speaking at a news conference, added that she believes there has been "enough misconduct" to warrant impeachment.

“I’ve always been very clear that I’m supportive and how I would vote in terms of impeachment. I understand that leadership may want to build a stronger case and subpoena more records or figure out what’s happening, perhaps in the Mueller investigation," the progressive lawmaker said.

"I defer to the chair. I defer to party leadership," she added. "But I certainly believe there’s been enough misconduct happening out of this office that would be unbecoming of any president.”

The country had to be brought along. The Dems are building their case with all the investigations starting. Just like with Watergate, the country has to be brought along with Russiagate and/or whatever it is.

She dodged a GOP bullet with that answer. GOP already hates her guts and has singled her out as their Hillary replacement for excess hatred and lies.

One of the perceptions of Hillary is that she didn't fight back hard enough against the ridiculous smears that just kept coming. She was always playing "nice politics", it seemed, with people who obviously had no interest. AOC has made it clear from the very start that she will take no shit. She is a master of social media, and she always strikes back at the attacks quickly and effectively.

accomplish that at this point as the Repugnants in the Senate have sold out to Russia like he did for the power it gave them and they will continue to do so thus they will not convict him.
Sure, if the evidence is really bad for him they will put on a show in the Senate of suddenly being for the rule of law and all that pretend shit they claimed to support for decades but they wont convict him.
Rather they will arrange the vote ahead of time so ones like Collins and others that are in vulnerable positions will vote to convict but it will fall short of the amount that is needed to convict him in the Senate.
Thus all that will be accomplished by impeaching him in the House will be to give him free PR to let him rally his moronic base around before the election.

You know those moments watching the West Wing when you cheer inside because President Bartlett just said exactly what needed to be said? She does that all the time. And it has the same effect on me.

Who says that Democrats can’t agree on anything?
So far we all agree that AOC said the right thing.that’s a start.
Speaker Pelosi has taken AOC under her wing.

We need to get those tax returns to be public so that the evidence can be overwhelming in favor of impeachment.

But she has shown so much maturity, so much intelligence, class, she doesn't let the repubs off the hook or try to be "politically correct to the undeserving repubs" and her ideas are so good for the country, that I feel she would make a great president...I know, I know...not yet, just saying...
