n Arizona mom that made waves for protesting high school students punishment for a MAGA banner had a racist Snapchat video filmed in her home last year.
The Arizona Republic reported that Jennifer Farris, the mother of some students at Gilbert, AZs Perry High School who claimed they were asked to remove MAGA gear, is tied to a 2018 viral video that featured teens celebrating the death of Martin Luther King, Jr. and using slurs.
Last year, a group of junior high students filmed themselves inside Farris house singing along to a racist rap parody song celebrating Kings death that includes the lyrics f**k all n**gers. The video, reports noted, was filmed during the MLK Day school holiday.
The mother claimed she wasnt home and her children werent involved when the video was recorded. She also said that although she doesnt approve of the message the kids were chanting, the incident was portrayed unfairly.

(6,831 posts)I wasn't home. These weren't my children. I didn't know about it. Unfair portrayal.
What crap.
Her kids host a large party, but she wasn't home . . . . sure.
Her kids weren't in the video . . . except they were.
She didn't know . . . but she KNOWS that the matter was shown in an unfavorable light on state-wide telly.
Give me a break. My in-laws live in AZ. It is the most racist state I have ever had the misfortune to visit.

(33,643 posts)I'm not kidding there's like 1 per acre in this region. To be fair, Mormons DO tend to be fairly accepting of Hispanic folk (they like to employ them) ... just not of Blacks, gays, etc.
Doubt it's more racist than Alabama/Mississippi as a state, on average, though.
